Disaster Management

Our Disaster Management (DM) Department is intrinsically linked to the core business of claims handling. By working in tandem with the internal Loss Adjusting Department (who oversee all large DM claims), administration costs are reduced and claims can proceed smoothly. The benefits to both the insurer and the policyholder are numerous.

Whether triggered by fire, flood or escape of water, our 25,000 sq ft factory is well equipped to handle any kind or size of disaster. We have both the technology and the qualified staff required to enable us to assist with the buildings AND contents elements of the claim. The sheer size of our factory allows us to deal with several claims at once.

How we deal with damage:

Water damage

These items are dried under controlled conditions in our 80,000 cubic ft drying room

Fire damage All fire damaged items are deodorised in our Dry Particulate Deodorising (DPD) or Ozone Deodorising chambers

Restoration Where viable, our specialist craftsmen can restore general household contents, antique and modern furniture, paintings, porcelain and soft furnishings

Buildings Flood damaged or fire and smoke damaged buildings are fully cleaned, deodorised and prepared for full reinstatement and redecoration

Storage

Contents are stored in our temperature and humidity controlled facilities. Once the building work is completed and the policyholder is ready, all contents are returned along with a complimentary bouquet of flowers
